St. Edward’s University is now officially recognized as a Tree Campus USA. Being a Tree Campus USA means that SEU meets Tree Campus USA logothe 5 core standards of tree care and community engagement: establishing a Campus Tree Advisory Committee, producing a Campus Tree Care Plan, dedicating annual expenditure to campus tree care, having a yearly Arbor Day observance, and a service learning project aimed at engaging the student body.

Becoming a Tree Campus USA demonstrates SEU’s dedication to planting, protecting and maintaining our campus trees, as well as our commitment to bettering our environment. Trees can significantly reduce the amount of energy we need to generate, decrease carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and gives students and faculty a green space where we can relax and enjoy being outdoors.
